If nominated and confirmed, she’d be the first civilian to serve not a vet.
And her only qualification appears to be that her son served in Iraq. Good enough?
She has been out of politics since 2009 because she quit in the middle of her only term as governor of Alaska. There isn’t a single reason for Donald Trump to consider her appointment for longer than a half-second.

Maybe they'll love her. I know most active military personnel are Republican, but I'm not sure about actual vets. . . .
Also, I'm not sure how most vets feel about care they receive at the VA. . . It would be interesting to know.
