(12,157 posts)Our allies have similar goals, not exactly the same but similar to ours. It is to their advantage to join with us. What are Russia's goals, especially under Putin? It appears to me that he has been working to lead Russia back to being a super power in competition with the U.S.. And to maybe be the #1 or even the only super power.

Russia stops being an antagonist the moment either Putin decides not to do that anymore or we get someone else who doesn't behave like that.
