I think you can hide them by keyword. Or just by hitting the "X" next to the thread title.

Because clicking the X or hiding by obvious keywords is a difficult, nay-- insurmountable challenge. Visceral reactions for some weeks to a rather negative outcome to the election is a normal reponse. Tritely asking that the visceral remain in its proper and appropriate place is not.
But it certainly allows us the pretense of how serious and clever we are.
