DU has improved so much! It seems to me that when things are really dire--when W was pResident, now

when Trump is --gag--president elect, DU has so many good posts. And links to great articles.

OTOH, during Obama's admin, until the election, DU got sort of....boring.

But, in the process, strengthened the corporate and banking interests of this nation. He saved us from a horrible economic collapse, but in the process, made the corporate interests much stronger.

He, like many Democrats, believed in the power of money over the power of ideas and they have been proven wrong.

That is how I think history will record the Obama years?

...I don't agree that this was his 'belief.'

Pres. Obama did not have the power to effectively legislate every one of his 'beliefs' without compromise and qualification. That's a consequence of our democratic system of governance, not some ambition of his.

Now under Trump, I suppose, their complaints will start to seem a little quaint...
