Trump voters making up excuses why Trump isn't draining the swamp

http://www.salon.com/2016/12/02/fill-the-swamp-donald-trumps-voters-dont-seem-upset-by-all-the-wall-street-insiders-and-d-c-lobbyists/

“Better Trump’s swamp than Obama’s swamp. At least he’s gonna get us something,” 57-year-old Mark Ross of Unionville, Pennsylvania, told McClatchy. “If Hillary had won – and you know, she really is a swamp person – she would have had to pay back with favors all these interests that sent her money.”

Obama? Swamp bad.

Clinton? Swamp bad.

Trump? Swamp goooooood.

“Of course he’s going to take on smart people, doesn’t matter whether they’re lobbyists or not,” Walton said. ... “If he has to use swamp people to make America great again, why not?”

Harris and other Trump supporters also argued that Trump simply needed more time to drain the so-called swamp of federal government

...

“I think what he’s done so far shows two things,” former Georgia senator Saxby Chambliss told CNN. “Number one: He has picked people that know how the system works and are willing to make the commitment to him and his policies to make sure the trains run on time and the train stays on the track, and I think that’s very important, particularly for someone who ran as an outsider. Secondly, I think most importantly, he’s picking talent.”

-----------

There you have it. Trump's swamp-creatures are good because he's picking talent. His swamp-creatures are definitely not of the "payback" and "corruption"-kind. But Obama's and Clinton's swamp-creatures are.

Okay, he broke a campaign-promise before he even was inaugurated, but come on, you can't take him literal on that.

They don't actually care about issues or things like truth, transparency or even handling of classified information at all.

They care about blaming someone, anyone, "the other" for their plight. And anyone willing to lie to them without shame will control them as a bloc. The results are obvious.

They will spin excuses until the end of time rather than accept they've been duped. This is the primary reason con artists still exist... The trouble with internalized (gut) thinking rather than evidence based thinking is there is no alternatives everything is bipolar e.g. "yes-or-no" "on-or-off" "good-or-bad" "liberal-or-conservative". Since, they've internalized these beliefs, it's become personal and they are no longer able to make objective observations without taking a hit on their egos. They are totally unable to say, "I was wrong.".

By time the Electoral College votes, there won't even be enough supporters in the swing states to buttress those EC votes.

Rush, et. al. will say its the Dem's fault for blocking some of his policies, mess inherited from Obama, "growing pains", etc. And they will eat every word of it up. Not until they are in a soup line at a soup kitchen with no job, living in a tent, etc. will they realize. And then, because they voted "tough on crime" laws, they will have a felony for a minor infraction and be banned from voting.

I pointed out to someone I know that Republicans are NOT actually anti-abortion, they just rely on Democrats for championing women's rights so they can court the dumb evangelicals. The last thing Repubs want is abortion made legal. The social costs would be a nightmare and all their pet projects will have to be scaled back to deal with the social costs associated.

He still refused to believe it. Hence why Economics isn't an exact science. It assumes people behaving rationally....too many don't.

I hope that those folks in that McClatchy news interview and others like THEM enjoy the big, fugly, orange, p***y-grabbing "swamp monster" that will BE their president tRump, and their downfall.

Yeah not if, but WHEN, they lose everything, and are WAY down on the curb with the rest of us who shouldn't be there, they can sit back--and NOT be bitter or mad--Only reminisce fondly about the love affair they had with their big, fugly, orange, p***y-grabbing "swamp monster-in-chief."
