If a person says something smart, we say they are smart

If a person says something clever, we say they are clever

If someone speaks truth to power we say they are brave

Why then, when someone says something racist do people refuse to say "they are a racist"?

We can only learn about what is inside a person by what comes out of them.

I'm tired of hearing about how you could vote for Trump and not be racist

I don't see it - at the very least, you ENDORSE racism when voting for him.

but more than comfortable calling all racists trump voters.

There must be a few who are merely venal, or scared, or just plain stupid.

However, association inevitably becomes assimilation

Trump is very vocal about his racism - I could NEVER vote for someone like him, because he is a racist asshole. If you can vote for someone like him, you must not mind having a racist president. That is SICKENING, no matter WHAT your reason is.

I mean that's what we're supposed to do and it is the logical thing, but we have a growing segment here in the US that...

If a person says something clever, they call them an coastal elite intellectual who is out of touch.

If someone speaks truth to power, they call them a radical who shouldn't even try.

If a person challenges a person like this to look at things around them and not just blame uppity minorities, liberals, the UN, feminists, the Muslim conspiracy, Canadians, Mexicans, gays, etc for the problems they have, then the first person will be told "that's your education talking".

But those are the people who do compose your 'racist' point and they are the loudest ones saying you can't call a racist a racist.

We need to start debunking them, aiming at their enablers, if what they say violates a site's TOS on the internet, then report it. This is the rhetoric, this is their bubble.

Some people see it as an exercise in futility to even try so they don't bother.
