Jill Stein To Hold Rally And Press Conference Outside Trump Tower

Media Advisory for: December 2, 2016

“What’s Trump Afraid Of?” Stein Campaign Fights Back After Trump & Allies File Legal Challenges in All 3 Recount States

NEW YORK, NY – As Donald’s Trump’s margin in Pennsylvania drops significantly and his team rushes to block recounts in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, Dr. Jill Stein will host a rally and press conference outside Trump Tower on Monday, December 5 at 10:00AM ET, vowing to fight tooth and nail to verify the accuracy, security, and fairness of the vote.

Dr. Stein will be joined by grassroots supporters who have fueled her unprecedented multi-state recount campaign, raising $6.8 million from nearly 150,000 individual donors in just over a week. Stein and supporters will call on Donald Trump to stop putting party politics above country, and verify the vote through common-sense procedures demanded by voters. “We won’t stand down as Donald Trump and his allies seek to frivolously obstruct the legal processes set up to ensure we have a voting system we can trust and that all votes have been counted,” said Stein.

WHAT: Press Conference Hosted by Dr. Jill Stein

WHEN: Monday, December 5 at 10:00AM ET

WHERE: Across the street from Trump Tower; Northeast corner of 5th Avenue and W. 56th Street

WHO: Dr. Jill Stein; 2016 Green Party candidate for president

David Cobb; Campaign Manager for the Jill Stein campaign recount effort

And while she is grandstanding, she can explain what she did to help keep him from winning in the first...oh wait, that's right...

She and the Greens insist on helping to elect these assholes, and then opposing them once they're in office. Greens don't give a shit about climate change, this is all about Ms. Stein and her need for attention. If you spoil enough elections, don't act all surprised when the Republicans win and roll back the environmental protections you claimed to care about.

I don't get it. She knew the stakes. These 3rd party candidates have every right to run, but they should drop out and endorse when they are polling so low they have no chance in late october.

and the whole thing is meant to hurt the democrat.

they never focus on running for lower office around the country and building the party up which is how a party that is serious about wanting to govern would do.

7. They're a bunch of phoneys, and I despise them every bit as much as the Republicans. In fact....

I think I hate them more, because one would think they would know better. In these close races, where the difference is 1 or 2%, they know they risk throwing the election to the hard right. Why Democrats, progressive or otherwise, have anything in common with Greens is baffling to me.

There are always posters here who admonish Democrats for speaking ill of the Green Party, but my personal belief is that they are definitely a threat to my own party, and just as in 2000, they've proven to be a threat to the world. We don't know how this next administration will play out, but from the nominations and the world leaders who are gleeful about his "win", we can guess.

You'll expect major NGOs and whatnot to get major funding boosts from this. It was pointed out when Nader helped Gore's election get stolen, and they are proud of it.

The one that says she is responsible for Trump winning the swing states.

Why don't third Party candidates stay out of swing states during general elections? Why don't they run in the midterms? Is that what the left over money will be used for in 2018?

Every opportunity she gets.

The #Recount2016 is a sign that the fiercest opposition to Trump and his agenda during the next four years won't come from @TheDemocrats.

If she had even the slightest concern about Trump as president she wouldn't have been saying things like Trump is less scary than Clinton and that Clinton would get us in the nuclear war with Russia and just generally trashing Hilary for the last year.
