Pence: Trump's lies are actually refreshing because he's telling whatever comes to his mind.

http://www.rawstory.com/2016/12/abc-host-hammers-pence-over-voter-fraud-claim-why-is-it-refreshing-to-make-false-statements/

“It’s his right to make false statements?” Stephanopoulos asked.

“I think one of the things that’s refreshing about our president-elect,” Pence replied, “I think he made such an incredible connection with people all across this country because he tells you what’s on his mind.”

“But why is it refreshing to make false statements?” Stephanopoulos wondered.

“I don’t know that is a false statement and neither do you,” Pence snapped. “There is historic evidence from the Pew Research Center that voter fraud has taken place.”

“Can you provide any evidence to back up that statement?” the ABC host asked again.

“He’s entitled to express his opinion on that,” Pence remarked. “I think the American people find it very refreshing that they have a president who will tell them what’s on his mind.”

“Whether it’s true or not,” Stephanopoulos concluded.

And I got some insight into the Trump/Pence plan.

They're gonna get the economy going by cutting taxes, reducing regulation, repealing Obamacare.

He said that probably 7 times in a 3 or 4 minute span. It was his answer to every question. Every fucking question. If the question was "is it appropriate to appoint Petraeus since he's a proven security risk" his answer: people won't care because see answer above.

Then he was channeling the ghost of Gingrich past singing the praises of block grants.

He's a buffoon. George should have asked him what it was like to sell your soul to the devil.

Facts no longer exist. And the rabid GOP which would have had a seizure over an Obama 'victory tour,' not to mention the serious conflict of interests in The Donald's basket of horrors, now say we need to 'give Trump time to sort things out.'

Anyone believe that? Anyone believe a f**cking thing the man says or the excuses the weasel Republicans will resort to? The Trumpster will sort things out all right--by burying the worst offenses, and then falling back on 'the President can have no conflicts of interest.' Because . . .

We are in uncharted territory. There's no silver lining as the likes of Susan Sarandon was selling (this will ignite the revolution of her privileged, Hollywood dreams).

This will be the Orwellian nightmare that we too quickly assigned to GW&Cheney. That was mere prelude. This time the nightmare is all too real.

Winter is coming. We better be ready.

I think this article is a good assessment of why he actually has supporters. I also think the reason his supporters weren't horrified by his meaness, and bigotry is that he was saying what they wanted to say. It reminds me of that song "Take This Job and Shove It."

He thinks he can make false statements and still be right with his God. Typical conservative "Christian" hypocrisy.

On a side note, whoever said liberalism ought to be redefined as opposing evil is onto something.
