Did China ask us if it was OK to devalue their currency (making it hard for our companies to compete), heavily tax our products going into..

their country (the U.S. doesn't tax them) or to build a massive military complex in the middle of the South China Sea? I don't think so!

But, we're one huge market for China now, and the last thing they would want is war with us. More likely they move more aggressively in the South China Sea if they think trump doesn't have the balls to actually object. Or brains to know what's going on.

Nuclear winter doesn't honor borders. In reality, they probably wouldn't use them and they'd be defensive. It's a large ocean to swim.

Does he want to inspired and capitalize on an Asian cold war? What I really think is that this is what it looks like when a business mogul who feels entitled to bend the world to his will is put in charge of the free world.

How fast would things fall apart here if the US business interests got kicked out of China? Would people enlist in the military hoping to crush China if their endless supply of cheap stuff was slowed or cut off?

The scary possibilities are mind blowing and endless.
