Less than a week after Trump was elected, prominent New York real estate agency Douglas Elliman blasted out an e-mail with the subject: Fifth Avenue Buyers Interested in Secret Service Protection? to advertise a $2.1 million, 1,052-square-foot condo in the tower on 721 Fifth Avenue.
"The New Aminity [sic] The United States Secret Service," screamed the flier sent in an e-mail on Nov. 13 for a one-bedroom apartment on the 31st floor, represented by brokers Ariel Sassoon and Devin Leahy.
As hard as Trump works to distance himself from his businesses, there may be no way of getting around other business associates using his brand for their own opportunity.
the article explains that most of the building are condos owned by private parties, and this newest advert is not from Trump himself.

(3,040 posts)What person would want to be under 24/7 surveillance, absolutely no privacy, monitored phone calls and mail?!? If I were paying 2.1 million a year for an apartment or condo in that building I would be very interested in breaking my lease or just move out.

(60,010 posts)Most people are not aware that Trump does not own the tower that has his name
and in fact, does not own a lot of the hotels, He gets paid for naming rights.
And the truth is that realtors are using his name and Secret service status as a selling point..altho it may backfire.
