Posters of Hitler, swastikas found on University of Chicago campus
Posters featuring a picture of Adolf Hitler, swastikas and the slogan “No Degeneracy, No Tolerance, Hail Victory” were found at two locations on the University of Chicago campus Monday.
The university said the posters were removed and that campus police were investigating. It released no other details.
A neo-Nazi group claimed credit for putting up the posters. The slogan "Hail Victory" is the English translation of the Nazi exhortation “Sieg heil.” It was repeatedly shouted by attendees at a recent meeting of the National Policy Institute, a white nationalist group.
Last month, the president and the provost of the University of Chicago issued a campuswide email asking students "for your help and commitment to the values of diversity and inclusion, free expression and open discourse."
