Local Were going to put a bullet in your head: #PizzaGate threats terrorize D.C. shop owners

Shaken by weeks of death threats and online attacks fueled by a bizarre conspiracy theory, the independent business owners on this block of Connecticut Avenue in Northwest Washington gathered at Terasol restaurant just after Thanksgiving to discuss what to do. Though they had repeatedly reported the harassment to District police and the FBI, the abuse had only intensified.

Terasol’s co-owner, Sabrina Ousmaal, who had begged authorities for help, worried that the worst was yet to come.

“It only takes one crazy with a gun,” she recalled saying at the meeting.

On Sunday, police say, a North Carolina man with an assault rifle walked into Comet Ping Pong, the pizzeria across the street that had become the subject of a widely shared fake news story linking Hillary Clinton to a child sex ring. He fired his gun at least twice before pointing it at an employee.

President-elect Donald J. Trump on Tuesday fired one of his transition team’s staff members, Michael G. Flynn, the son of his designated national security adviser, for using Twitter to spread a fake news story about Hillary Clinton that this weekend led to an armed confrontation in a pizza restaurant in Washington.

The uproar over Mr. Flynn’s Twitter post cast a harsh spotlight on the views that he and his father, Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn, aired on social media throughout the campaign. Both men have shared fake news stories alleging that Mrs. Clinton committed felonies, and have posted their own Twitter messages that at times have crossed into Islamophobia.

then Pence lied about it:

Vice President-elect Mike Pence denied that Mr. Flynn had ever worked for the transition team, saying on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that he had “no involvement in the transition whatsoever.”
But later in the morning, Jason Miller, a transition spokesman, said in a conference call that Mr. Flynn was no longer involved in transition.

why isn't he being sued by all these businesses? He did it it for fame and money, and takes no responsibility for the damaged he's caused. Isn't there any laws against inciting violence that the DA could use to go after him.
