They are out to ruin Americans

It is not only that they don't care about everyday citizens, they want to ruin them. Why else would billionaires fund all these "think tanks" devoted to shred not only the safety net, but also things like Climate change, EPA, FDA and so on. It would be cheaper for them to pay their fair share of taxes?

Predictably, this plan has already been hailed by the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a billionaire's front group that likes to portray itself as a neutral budget watchdog. (The foundation of hedge fund billionaire Peter G. Peterson, whose hostility to Social Security is well-documented, provided $3.3 million in funding for the committee in 2015; that's the equivalent of about half the group's revenue of $7.1 million in 2014)

Four foundations run by billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch hold a combined $310 million in assets according to tax filings obtained by the Center for Public Integrity.

Nowhere has the family made its presence felt as it has in Michigan, where it has given more than $44 million to the state party

The totals here are not yearly donations. The thing is this is just 3 billionaire families, not including wal-mart. This does not include lobbyists, and other political donations. They all have corporations that pay shitty wages and then spend all this money to deny them services they need because of their shitty wages. All have supported, school vouchers/charter schools. All support right to work. All are against Social Security and the safety nets.

It is not that they don't care, they are purposely working to dismantle the very foundation of this country. In trump, they have a kindred spirit.

There is only so much money you can spend, when will their hoard of cash be enough for them?-ok that is a redundant question.

and there are bigger and more naive markets to exploit elsewhere. Actually, I think they are culling the herd. People will die as this progresses and they automate the workplace. Dystopia is at the door.

progression from "human being" to "loser" to "culled." Rich people and royalty have always treated people as disposable as toilet tissue; now, we get to live in a supposed democracy where the 1% has decided that WE are disposable.

What do they get from it? Well, narcissistic people who get riches and power want to wield it, and terrorizing other people is quite a pleasure for them.

Secondly, wiping out a lot of people lessens the impact of climate change; frees up land for the rich; and makes the remaining people docile.

want all this country to themselves. They think we have too many people so everything they do is designed to make that not be so. They feel all is needed is a few of us to work in their factories to make the shit they need and to serve them the rest of us be damned. Get rid of most of the population in the world and there won't need to be any environmental laws, no universal healthcare, no SS just a few hospitals for them. They have the means to travel by air so they really don't need our roads to be in any better shape than it takes to get to them the products they need and want.
