Throughout the primary and general election season, we all talked about Trump projecting his own faults and foibles on his opponents. He called others liars and corrupt, and we knew the corrupt liar was Donald J. Trump. But when he said that the election was rigged, we laughed. Once again, he was projecting his own actions on others.

Why didn't we pay closer attention?
