SCHUMER: Report's of Russia's interference in the election should shake us to the core

SCHUMER: Report's of Russia's interference in the election should shake us to the core
Akin Oyedele Business Insider December 10, 2016

"That any country could be meddling in our elections should shake both political parties to their core," Schumer said. "Senate Democrats will join with our Republican colleagues next year to demand a congressional investigation and hearings to get to the bottom of this."

Schumer said it is "imperative" for the intelligence community to hand over any information that Congress would find useful to its investigation.

The CIA told senators in private meetings last week that their evidence demonstrated it was "quite clear" Russia aimed to help Trump win.

By releasing to Wikileaks hacked emails confirming that the DNC colluded to hobble Bernie Sanders' primary campaign, emails, by the way, that the DNC has never denied.

It makes it difficult to be outraged over Russian hacking when the most notable thing they hacked were the emails that confirmed the DNC rigged our own primaries.

That myth were played and pwned. And he's pretty disgusted by them frankly because they are, in the final analysis, responsible for Trump's election. 65,000,000 voters agree.

People need to leave their narcissistic privilege at the door and keep a lower profile. They've done enough harm, and the contempt they are facing is only going get worse once Trump is in office.

...Lost by millions of votes. That's life.

The eventual nominee won the primary and then went on to win the so-called popular vote in the general by 3,000,000 votes despite actual rigging. Now that guy that lost the popular vote is going to be the POTUS.

that discussed a terrible talking point that was never used. That was the extent to which the emails revealed nefarious goings-on at the DNC.

The Russians/Wikileaks and Trump played the toxic, bitter knitter faction very successfully. Without the help of the third party/no show voters, Trump wouldn't have won.

It was their turn in the barrel., and they're still in denial.

Unless any public criticism of Republicans and billionaires is outlawed before then.

that trump would not have won with or without Russia's interference. We need to start accepting the truth. Many democrats lacked enthusiasm for Hillary Clinton and she was not able to attract independent voters especially after selecting Tim Caine as her running mate.

It's easy to blame it on Comey, on the Russians...

Yes, Russia had a huge stake in having Trump win because of his decidedly pro-Russia alt right direction. They are playing the same game in france with Le Pen who is a pro-Russia far right candidate.

Still, Trump is not responsible for Russian actions and, again, he probably would have won regardless.

Clinton should have chosen Sanders as running mate and kept laser sharp focus on jobs and campaign agressively in rust belt states. That'/ all that was needed to win this election. And yes, the result makes Trump smarter than Clinton. Yes, you can be smart and evil - Hitler had high IQ.

I hate to say it but Hillary might be brilliant policy-wise but she is a terrible politician. She couldn't even communicate in sinple terms exactly what changes to the ACA will be made to lower costs.

What we are doing right now is killing ourselves by focusinrg on recounts, sabotaging electors, proposing useless constitutional amendment to remove EC, etc. Instead of learning from the election post-mortem and focusing on the voters (real people) in critical states. But with Pelosi and , I am afraid, Keith ellis, we are looking at GOP 60 seats post 2018 midterms. That's the new reality.

What planet is Schumer living on? Move immediately! Not next year!
