Trump says he won one of the biggest landslides in history.

That is not true but no one is calling him on it.

I can recall elections in my lifetime where some candidates only won one state.

Also, I can never remember any candidate losing the popular vote by such a large margin and still winning the Presidency?

Donald Trump is lying but what's new?

1. Somebody on the PBS Newshour corrected him last night.

They said his margin was actually 47th out of the 50 or so presidential elections this country has held. Yes, he's lying. Bigly. Of course, how many people watch PBS Newshour, let alone on the weekend? It's not like most people will hear that.

As for losing the popular vote, I believe that is actually where the record lies, not in his electoral vote margin.

and thus become part of some sort of "conventional wisdom" that has no basis in fact.

Obviously, from a popular vote standpoint, he has no claim to a "landslide" -- he lost, big time.

Moreover, from an EC vote standpoint, there are 45 elections in which the winner had a larger percentage of the of the EC. Only 12 were closer than 2016. And if you only consider the elections where there were 538 EC votes at stake, in nine of fourteen, the winner got more EC votes than Trump.

Yet no one in the media pushes back on this lie.

The mainstream media is not interested in correcting his lies.

The entire mainstream media is loaded with political pundits,

over paid TV news people, lobbyists, and contractors.

They are not interested in the truth.

“These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction,” adding, “The election ended a long time ago in one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history. It’s now time to move on and ‘Make America Great Again.’ ”

So they question the CIA and then say Trump won "one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history." It's really like watching something criminal or insane or both.
