Donald Trump is considering former Hewlett-Packard CEO and Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina to be the director of national intelligence, the New York Times reported, citing an unnamed transition official.
The President-elect will meet with Fiorina on Monday at Trump Tower.
After serving as CEO of Hewlett-Packard, Fiorina sat on an advisory board to the CIA through which she gave advice on how the intelligence community could continue to carry out spying activities as demand for transparency increased. Beyond that, Fiorina has little background on intelligence matters.
The director of national intelligence is the top intelligence adviser to the president who oversees the U.S. Intelligence Community and National Intelligence Program.

FIORINO: I look forward to serving under you, Mr. Trump.
TRUMP: Carly, you were a little nasty to me during the primaries.
FIORINO: Sorry sir. I should not have said you were thinskinned.
TRUMP: Why do you keep interrupting?
FIORINO: Would you like coffee, tea, or me?
TRUMP: Wrong!
FIORINO: Please please please.
TRUMP: I just realized that if you listen to Carly Fiorina for more than ten minutes straight, you develop a massive headache.
FIORINO: I have a Tylenol in my purse, sir.
TRUMP: You're fired.
