Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos will reportedly attend Trump's tech summit

Amazon.com Inc. founder and CEO Jeff Bezos has accepted President-elect Donald Trump's invitation to a meeting of technology executives in New York Wednesday, Yahoo reports.

Seattle-based Amazon (NYSE: AMZN) couldn't be reached to confirm Bezos' plans, but it could make for an interesting face-off given the long-simmering beef between the two men.

Bezos proposed sending Trump to space(jokingly, one might assume) a year ago after the then-candidate accused Bezos of using his ownership in the Washington Post to avoid paying taxes, well before the real estate executive admitted he legally avoided paying federal taxes after reporting a $916 million business-related loss in 1995.

The Trump campaign also revoked the press credentials of Bezos' Washington Post, which reported aggressively on Trump's exaggerated philanthropy, self-dealing by Trump in the nonprofit foundation he ran and the ongoing scandal over Russian interference benefiting Trump in the election.
