Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay appeared on “The Steve Malzberg Show” today, where he declared that just about everyone in America has “gotten over” slavery and Jim Crow except for “professional racists” like President Obama.

DeLay was outraged by Obama’s appearance on “The Daily Show” last night, where he said that while America has not completely overcome the legacies of racism and slavery in this country, we have made “extraordinary” progress. DeLay disagreed, saying that it is only people like Obama who have been unable to get over these things.
