Why is Russia so great the Republicans and Trump want to make us like them?

Is it their technological innovations?

Is it their modern cutting edge cultural achievements?

Is it their kleptocracy ?

Is it their haute couture?

Is it their haute cuisine?

They're envious and admiring of a nation with a strong man for a leader, a "real" leader. And it's all lies that that leader is fond of poisoning political enemies.

So from your list, I'll also take kleptocracy for $100 since it always comes with a nice, stroooong leader.

and the oil industry has a lot of money at stake in Russia.

Congress, Worried About Trump, Is Trying To Tie The Next President’s Hands On Russia
But the oil industry is trying to lay the groundwork for a President Trump.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the oil industry encouraged Russia to do everything it could to influence our elections.

Also, Republicans have always admired right wing dictators and have never been that fond of democracy. They're authoritarian by nature.

My theory is that when the US banks wouldn't loan Trump money, Russian banks did. They did so in order to cultivate a relationship with him in which he would be dependent on Russia. Then when he ran for President, Putin sought to put that relationship into action and tilt the election to Trump.

We know that there is a Trump server than has been in regular contact with a Russian bank throughout the campaign. I think Trump is somehow involved in the Russian espionage and making appointments favorable to Putin because of his financial debts.

I also think the investigation of the Russian interference needs to be accompanied by a full investigation into Trump's finances to uncover relationships that could compromise our nation.
