No one owns, and certainly no one can count on controlling, Trump, much as we wonder what blackmail some might try to apply. He is mentally disordered and doesn't think or react like normal people.

Critically, though, Russia is at war with us and is very far from done. Putin basically wants to reextend Russian power over most bordering nations and replace the U.S. as the major superpower. To that end he is working to cause the U.S. and European nations to be severely weakened by internal divisions, and of course to cause the NATO alliance to collapse.

Putin's flattery will only fool Trump for so long--world reactions will clue him in. Then Trump will rage.
