Ex-Marine Firefighter Fired After Racist Post

A Michigan firefighter and former US Marine has been sacked after racially abusing a woman on Facebook.

Ryan Hudson, 40, went on a racist social media rant last Thursday after he was caught up in a spat with a woman named Tarvenia, who asked to be identified only by her first name.

Tarvenia commented saying that her brother was also a veteran, and she voiced her support for San Francisco 49ers' Kaepernick when he kneeled during the national anthem as a show against police brutality.

In response, Hudson wrote: 'F*** Black Lives Matter. You are the epitome of a n***** and if you think it's just black lives kiss my a** b**** and go back to the fields that us in the north fought to free you from.'

Many hilarious invitations to be friends with very "patriotic" friends of friends until I switched it to just friends. I've never experienced such a nasty bunch of people trying to pick fights before.

Hopefully some on here that have the same settings will end up closing the access to just friends they have approved. That's another reason why I love this site is because we all learn from one another's experience from day to day occurances and even major events. Thank you for providing your experience even if the memories stung. I certainly appreciate it and I am sure others do as well.

I realized that they were hestitiant to do that on the wall, so I have mixed emotions. My own cousin denigrated me pretty bad and ended up sending threatening PMs to a few friends who supported me also. I lost a few friends but I know I have made it strengthened many more with those I share core values with. That's the important thing.
