Jake Tapper and Chuck Todd both led their show today with the Russia hack/Putin led the way story and Trump's tweet on the matter.
They both read the full Trump tweet
"If Russia, or some other entity, was hacking, why did the White House wait so long to act? Why did they only complain after Hillary lost?"
Jake Tapper's next words were 'The answer, they didn't." and ran video of Jake reporting the story when it broke back in early October.
Chuck Todd reads same tweet and the next words out his mouth?
"It's actually a fairly important question. One we all need to find an answer to."
Congratulations Chuck Todd!
You win the Joseph Goebbels Media Stooge of the Day Award!
We're going to have to leave it here Chuck....

(58,785 posts)when it did break, just as he's doing now. It's all the Dems' fault for being the party Russia feared in the newest iteration of the Cold War.

(318,802 posts)an important question.
And, the point, chuckie, is that it was HACKED.. not what anyone else said about it WHEN and WHERE.
It's so special how dumphuck sticks up for Russian Hacking over our country.. he is only the rigged elect.
Thanks Jake Tapper.. never thought I'd say that!
Why don't people email and call m$nbc and let them know the answer? Do they even know people are watching and think they're full of shite?
I stopped watching in Nov 2002.

(18,560 posts)... but I presume "confident" is a step down from "highly confident." So one might presume they've been working hard on the question since then, and finding their initial suspicions to be supported.

(14,891 posts)I watched Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Alisyn never used the word hack or hacking.
She referred to the incident as meddling.
Over and over with each new guest she used the word meddling.

(76,620 posts)I learned, all the way back in the early 90's that Todd was an Atwater acolyte in his early career years. That would suggest he's never been trustworthy and his opinions always have a hidden motive. (Nefarious, as well.)

(24,324 posts)I just remember he said something sensible for a couple of days. There were comments here about how surprised people were (of course) and now maybe he had seen the light.

(6,123 posts)I guess because he's working for MSNBC he's peeing his pants in fear that somebody might accuse him of having a liberal bias. Hence the reason why CHRIS F-ING WALLACE usually asks Republicans tougher questions than Todd.
On the bright side, at least THIS didn't happen (as it usually does):
Tapper: "Trump asks why Democrats didn't raise question of Russian hacking before Hillary lost. Actually THEY DID."
Todd: "Trump asks why Democrats didn't raise question of Russian hacking before Hillary lost. DEMOCRATS CLAIM THEY DID."

If he were in the street and a bus was going to run over him, I might ask myself -- should I help him get out of the way? And then I might think: How long do I have to decide?
He is not often part of the solution but often part of the problem.
