I had a woman show up on a thread I posted on DU and proclaim that it wouldn't be "the worst thing" if women were stripped of their rights to autonomy at 6 weeks of pregnancy and forced to give birth - NO MATTER WHAT. Even if the woman was suicidal because of the pregnancy (lots of things make girls suicidal dontcha know) even if she was raped, even if she didn't know she was pregnant, even if she was the victim of incest.

FUCKING SICK!!

MY HUMAN RIGHT to control MY BODY IS NOT NEGOTIABLE. Period.

Anybody who thinks that propagation of the species only happens because Santa-Jesus-God puts a special miracle spark in Mommy's tummy and every zygote/fetus is the result of an act of divinity . . and our LAWS should be based on that delusion needs to stay the fuck away from my body.

We don't hold that those who aren't cops can't regulate cops for example. We should support the full range of women's reproductive rights including birth control and abortion because people should have control over their own body. I wouldn't support banning reproductive rights even if it were women voting for them.
