General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsJust made my first report of a fake news story on facebook.
(CIA lied to Obama about Russian Hacking and he is pissed.) Conservatives are being urged to share it, with the message: Get over it.
Looking forward to seeing the "fake news" flag on it shortly . . . I hope. My understanding is that enough people have to report it as fake before it starts carrying the warning flag.
If you haven't discovered the reporting mechanism yet, drop down the action list in the upper right corner of the post, opt to report it, flag it as fake news, and decide whether to do more than just report it. For now, reporting it is all I'm doing.
Happy reporting.

(14,274 posts)I don't think you can proactively find the posts and flag them. At least that seems to be the way it is working on my iPad.

(8,694 posts)I realized what a problem this was when my 40 yo son, who only gets his "news" from Facebook, was telling me about "all the people Hillary has killed". I was in shock that he would even believe this crap. He vote for Trump.
