Call the White House comment line and say thank you! 202-456-1111
Yesterday I called the White House comment line.I called for a few reasons.
One was to encourage action with respect to the Russian hack.
One was to just say how much I will miss the Obamas and how beautiful the family's holiday (there I said it holiday!) card is and how gorgeous Sasha and Malia are.
The last was to thank the volunteers who undoubtedly have to take a tremendous amount of abuse from callers and to ask if there will even be a White House comment line after January 20th, since it is quite likely that the next occupant will not want to hear anything other than praise.
The woman I spoke with really appreciated being thanked me and told me she would pass my comments on to her fellow volunteers. With a catch in her voice said she did not know if there will be a comment line and they haven't been told anything.
On Monday, please call the comment line and let the volunteers know you appreciate their efforts.
We may never be listened to again.
