Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsCan anyone check that this KellyAnne Conway tweet is real?
I'm not distrusting Riverside, but I talked about it on FB and people have questioned whether it's real.
Supposedly KellyAnne made this tweet and then deleted it. I don't know how to prove it. Did she ever really make this tweet, or not?

(4,544 posts)and then look at what it cached for that date (Dec. 17). If she tweeted it, even if she later deleted it, it should be in there.
Wayback Machine: https://archive.org/web/
I'd do it, but I don't have her twitter URL. Hope that helps!

(108,977 posts)And didn't see anything. But there was only one screenshot taken on the 17th. How would we know whether she had a deleted tweet?
Silver Gaia
(4,544 posts)From what I could tell, the Wayback Machine didn't crawl her twitter feed until 16:57 today, so if she made that tweet shortly after midnight, as it appears she did, then she had plenty of time to delete it before the Wayback took a shot of her feed. I'm guessing that may have been what happened. Bummer.
I don't know of any other way to verify it except for a screenshot, which is what that appears to be in the other post. Those can be photoshopped, though. So, it all depends on whether or not you trust the source.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

(58,724 posts)Don't you think that if she had actually sent such a tweet that one or two reputable people might have picked up on it?
Does that not strike you as clearly fake based on what you know about KellyAnne Conway?

(58,724 posts)When you have ever heard or seen her use language like that?
pnwmom
(108,977 posts)language like that publicly, and worse. I could believe that in an angry moment she'd posted that, and then deleted it.
oberliner
(58,724 posts)She has no history of tweeting things like that in angry moments and deleting them. She is known for doing exactly the opposite.

Look at at how it has the star icon and says "favorite"
If it was real it would have a heart symbol where that star is : https://twitter.com/KellyannePolls/status/809943457435357188
And they changed "favorite" to "like".

(70,691 posts)After 70 years of the words, acts, and behaviors he has racked up, and surrounded himself with the people he has. As for Kellyanne, I remember her from when she was FITZPATRICK and in tandem with Barbara OLSEN (yes, who died on 9-11) was a vicious, vociferous, scurrilous SCOURGE of Dems. So I would have no trouble believing that mere *words* like in the subject tweet might be hers. What is so decent about her that would exempt her?!1

This was before the internet, but dayum, he was right.
