John Glenn To Be Buried in the Spring. Why?

I just learned that John Glenn will apparently not be buried at Arlington National Cemetery until the spring. Does anyone know why they seem to be waiting so long to bury him? Is there some type of waiting period for people who want to be buried at Arlington National Cemetery? Do they not bury people at Arlington National Cemetery during the holiday season?

you can hear the machines from a long way off. Arlington Cemetery is a place that should be quieter than the normal of daily life.

It's 58 there now.

They have about the same weather we have in the Carolinas, and the ground is NOT frozen here.

My father-in-law died at the beginning of November. By the time we would have been able to get the remains up north from Florida the ground was frozen. He will be buried in the spring.

Glenn is scheduled to be buried in a private ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery on April 6, the 74th anniversary of his marriage to his wife, Annie.

According to an article published in 2014, "it takes up to seven months for interment at Arlington. 'That's how backed up they are,'" http://www.news-press.com/story/news/nation/2014/09/14/news-press-exclusive-arlingtons-burial-backlog/15599021/

I guess there's something else for Trump to work on
