John Goodman was great as Tillerson, "talking" to Putin about "black and crude" to which "Trump" responded: oh, black and crude, I know Kenya West

(15,234 posts)He may not tweet this time but he was sure to notice. If someone really wants to set him off do it about failure it is the first comment when he is angry. The bit about not getting entertainment for the inauguration may get more rage than the Putin observation.

(58,785 posts)has not directly addressed Mr. Trumps criticisms. In a recent interview with The New York Times Magazine, Mr. Michaels said he believes the show speaks to a wide range of political affiliations. Weve actually tried to make S.N.L. a safe space across the political spectrum, Mr. Michaels said."
That is a very good thing, but, gee, I'd love to see skits-that-could-have-been about Trump voters.

Trump cares about Trump. If he's ever convinced that Putin isn't serving his personal interests anymore, he'll turn on him... maybe too much so!
Trump doesn't keep friends unless they're helping him.

As far as Schwartz could tell, Trump spent very little time with his family and had no close friends. In The Art of the Deal, Trump describes Roy Cohn, his personal lawyer, in the warmest terms, calling him the sort of guy whod be there at your hospital bed . . . literally standing by you to the death. Cohn, who in the fifties assisted Senator Joseph McCarthy in his vicious crusade against Communism, was closeted. He felt abandoned by Trump when he became fatally ill from AIDS, and said, Donald pisses ice water. Schwartz says of Trump, Hed like people when they were helpful, and turn on them when they werent. It wasnt personal. Hes a transactional manit was all about what you could do for him.
