Any historians out there?

I was wondering if there were any rulers in the past with character traits similar to Trump?
Hitler was a sociopathic demagogue but he was primarily interested in politics and domination by force.
Trump seems more focused on wealth and fame. Politics is just a means to get more of both.
Hitler was also devious and politically shrewd. Trump seems obvious and clumsy in his attempts to play political games. So Hitler does not seem to be very comparable.

Are there known demagogue leaders who were as ill prepared, self focused and ignorant of the responsibilities of political power as Trump?
If so, how did their reigns go?

Down to the gaudy golden estates and willingness to be co-opted by Putin. And for having Paul Manafort as his campaign manager at one point.
