Yes, the standard is eight panels, with the first two usally a title and/or a throwaway panel. eggplant Dec 2016 #25
That seems to be the norm, for some reason. I look for the whole thing online. Hekate Dec 2016 #21

Think of them as the new facist house media outlet for Trumpco et al, the video version of Clear Channel. Kusher struck a deal with them to carry all of Trump's news conferences and other coverage without commentary directly to the stations in the SBG, rather than depend on the regular networks or Cspan or CNN, or FOX.

Kushner: We struck deal with Sinclair for straighter coverage
By JOSH DAWSEY and HADAS GOLD 12/16/16 05:35 PM EST for Politico

Donald Trump's campaign struck a deal with Sinclair Broadcast Group during the campaign to try and secure better media coverage, his son-in-law Jared Kushner told business executives Friday in Manhattan.

Kushner said the agreement with Sinclair, which owns television stations across the country in many swing states and often packages news for their affiliates to run, gave them more access to Trump and the campaign, according to six people who heard his remarks.

In exchange, Sinclair would broadcast their Trump interviews across the country without commentary, Kushner said. Kushner highlighted that Sinclair, in states like Ohio, reaches a much wider audience — around 250,000 listeners — than networks like CNN, which reach somewhere around 30,000.

Our local Sunday paper, Press & Sun-Bulletin, consistently omits the first two frames. Occasionally the strip was a little weird until I found this out.

Space, or some other reason. But the strip is generally drawn so that the first 2 panels aren't essential.

Also Doonesbury is one of the few that occasionally gets censored for being 'too political' for the comics pages.

He (Trump) doesn't realize that he can't fight with all the media outlets. Should they decide to return to their roots and report on governmental mis conduct, he'll lose his mind......... and I'm ok with that!
