...which Republicans also deny ever occurred.

Am I missing something? It seems that Republicans are pushing two entirely contradictory talking points.

First, they still argue that there is no evidence that Russia was trying to help Trump get elected as President. The most obvious example is John Bolton suggesting that the evidence of Russia's efforts was actually a false flag operation by the Obama administration.

Second, today, Republicans such as John McCain are attacking President Obama for not doing enough to stop Russian efforts to influence the election. Of course, this ignores the efforts of Republicans to both oppose the disclosure of Russia's activities, as well as Republicans discounting and discrediting reports of such activities when news articles of these activities were published.

So, President Obama failed to stop a Russian attempt to help Trump get elected as President, which Republicans also deny ever took place.

the real fact that they stole votes in key states to give Trump an electoral victory. The Russian hacking takes the story off of them and they get to blame Obama to boot.

They always find a way to be on both sides of a story and still win. When will we Dems learn that in order to beat this Party - we have to fight as dirty.

which would have been true but not as they meant. Obama would have been blamed no matter what he did.

I think we should be looking very closely somewhere for more shenanigans, but there are so many things happening, it is hard to find the slight of hand. We always find their tricks after the fact and kick ourselves for not seeing them sooner. The Republican party, Ryan and McConnell were given an early Christmas gift and must be busy elves putting a pretty bow on it.
