As Tyrell sang, Each time I find myself flat on my face, I pick myself up and get back in the race, the entire room rose and gave a prolonged standing ovation to Hillary.

BTW - Does anyone know what control whether or not a link displays the picture that goes with it and the headline? I thought it used to do that all the time, but since the hacking I'm not sure it's ever done it. Info??

(13,634 posts)3. Yeah, why didn't that (and the headline) show up with my link?

What a lovely photo.

(16,829 posts)2. You have to do a right click on the picture
and copy the image address. An image address will have an extension like jpg, gif or png.

(13,634 posts)4. But in the past, if you copied a link to a news story...
.... the headline and the picture would show up in your post. No need to copy the picture separately.

(53,339 posts)5. Are you thinking of Facebook?
It has never worked that way at DU.
LAS14
(13,634 posts)8. Definitely not. I almost never use Facebook.
I just now went back to Oct - Nov 7 and couldn't find any examples of where a link to a news story showed the picture and headline. So the problem affects the display, not the storage of the post. I did submit a question to the admins a day or two after DU came back on line, but didn't get a response.
