While appearing on CNNs New Day this morning, Rep. Will Hurd (R-TX) stated that he was fine with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnells position that there doesnt need to be a select committee to investigate Russian hacking of the election.
However, he also highlighted that he would have liked to see a stronger response to Russia and Vladimir Putin than President Obamas cut it out. Speaking to host Chris Cuomo, the former CIA officer explained how the United States should have reacted to Russia.
Knowing the tactics they use to gather information is also important in trying to prevent certain outcomes from happening is important as well, he noted. And this is something that there has to be a clear response to this behavior so it doesnt happen in the future.
And what is that response?
