Trump Actually Called Ice-T to Perform At His Inauguration, Ice-Ts Response Was Brutal

It’s the height of delusion that President-Elect Donald Trump and his lackeys at his Presidential Inauguration Committee actually believe that A-list musicians would actually be willing to perform at his inauguration on January 20th.

Elton John had been booked for the Hillary Clinton inauguration that was sadly never to be, and he bailed on Trump. Garth Brooks said some lukewarm comments about Trump, but he, too, declined to perform. Trump actually had the gall to ask legendary rapper Ice-T if he would perform.

You can probably predict what Ice-T’s response was, in general terms. How the rapper described it via his Twitter, however, was nothing short of hilarious. Posted Ice-T, “I just got call to perform at the Inauguration…. I didn’t pick up and Blocked the number.” Ouch! He followed this by posting astutely, “Just call Ted Nugent and call it a day….” Bam!

As the internet is apt to do, it had a field day with Ice-T’s pithy story. Responded one commenter, “You should have accepted and performed ‘Cop Killer’.” Added another, “But Ice, we need you and the rest of the SVU team there. Trump is an actual predator.” Added another, “I dunno, I’d have enjoyed hearing “There Goes the Neighborhood” while people tried to crowd surf Trump into the Reflecting Pool.” One commenter topped them all, however, saying, “Ten bucks says they thought you were Ice Cube.” What kind of D-listers do you think Trump will actually get?

Ice-T freezes talk: No, I wasn’t offered Trump inaugural gig
Posted by Ken Stone on December 16, 2016 in Hollywood

Rapper Ice-T is left cold by those who take him seriously. People think he rejected an offer to perform at Donald Trump’s inaugural.

It all started with what he now calls a joke:

“I just got call to perform at the Inauguration … I didn’t pick up and Blocked the number,” he tweeted.

On Friday, the rapper tweeted: “Anyone that thinks those MFs would call me?! ME of all people?? Has gotta be a DumbF—.”

But that didn’t stop celebrity sites and mainstream media from reporting the “snub” as truth.

on anybody who thinks he is a decent human being.

See, I have told some jokes myself that were not very funny, but my intent when telling a joke is always to make other people laugh, not to create a situation where I get to laugh at other people.

So he's still an a$$hole and not funny either.

“I just got a call to perform at the Inauguration…. I didn’t pick up and Blocked the number."

How would someone know they got called to perform if they didn't pick up? I don't think he was being a jerk to laugh at other people. I think he was being silly and anyone who paid attention to what he actually said would get that.

That the OP and others didn't get that is not a reflection on Ice T.

And why all the Ice T hate on this post?

I'm sure The Nuge would be happy to perform his hits appropriate to the occasion, like "Terminus El Dorado" and "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang"

It'll be a totally classy affair.

When I first read the headline, I was thinking "how would anyone in Trump's circle even know who Ice-T is", and "if this is true, they're WWWWWAAAAAAAYYYYYYY down the list to get to him". Apologies to Ice-T, but he is pretty far down the list of performers, right?
