I Truly Think...All We Have to Do Now is Sit Back

At this point, all we have to do now is sit back and wait for tRump to fu*k up big time! We all know it will happen; it's just a matter of when, not if. But, we can speed it along! Please read my post titled "The One Way to Get to Trump...is to Rattle Him."

The clowns in Congress are all suckling up to him either because they are hungry for power or the fear his retaliation.

He is going to drag us through the swamp where he found his cabinet and never be challenged.

at some point, his "cabinet" will decide it is time to mutiny to save their personals ships. let's hope that is before the ship of state is sunk.

Whether it is writing Congress, supporting groups and organizations such as the ACLU and Planned Parenthood, it is not a good idea to sit back and watch them decimate social security, medicare, etc

DT in the meantime? I don't worry so much for myself, but I have children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. How is this going to affect their lives going forward? This is the first time I've ever believed that my offspring will have a harder time in life than I did.

Plus, it gives the media something to focus on while Ryan/McConnell gut everything that is good in our society.

the cast of characters. Frankly, I think we're headed over a cliff. These guys want one thing, self-enrichment, and then persecution of others. Really, that seems to be the core message. So, it's far far far more than just Dump.

While I agree that the overwhelming incompetence of this cabal is potentially self-defeating, I am also very concerned as to the damage that they can inflict on our civil liberties, national security, and economy - not to mention virtually every other aspect of our lives: education, environment, health, and social security.
I sense a resignation of sorts amongst many of us and while that may be part of the grieving process we have to prepare for a robust and impactful response, albeit nonviolently.
The days of mass marches and protests are perhaps over but we have to learn to coalesce our positions in a effective, inclusive and visible manner. Resist!

Dark ages last for millennia. The dark ages in Europe for lasted for centuries. The Arabs took over from the Greeks and Romans with a civil and progressive society. Then fundamental religion put them into a millennia long dark age they have not, and looks like will not, get out of. We have to work to keep the system as intact as we can. We can look to the states. California, Oregon, Washington, Minnesota, we have to hold onto these. Maybe win back North Carolina. This has to be hand to hand, county by county, state by state. There is a point of no return that we may be witnessing. If we wait for them to crash the system we may not be able to pick up the pieces.

If you are able to post a new thread may I suggest you write about this?

I have a friend who came here from Iran. She grew up there during the time of the Sha when things were forced brutally into the modern era there, then came the Ayatollahs and the country regressed a thousand years into the past.

She told me that it takes 500 years to progress 500 years, but that it takes no time at all to regress 500 years. It scares the crap out of me to think of the dystopian future that might be in store for us.

Work out?

When -- YOU -- are the victim, you can always say you did nothing, and deserve whatever Trump does to you/us.

Not me cowboy.

I Am The Opposition.

I read a list of all the things that Trump will probably attack from Net Neutrality to Planned Parenthood. From SS to Medicare. All so his corporate scum can stuff more money into the Cayman Islands.

If you don't resist, don't complain when you are pushing all your possessions around in a stolen shopping cart.

You didn't hear it here first.

He'll create back breaking infrastructure work for them. At minimum wage, of course, but he'll say he can't do anything about that because those horrible Congresspeople won't let him. His tweets will be many and steamy! Just the tweets will keep many of his supporters happy. The more he says he'll kick someone's ass the better they'll feel.

He might use the drones to kill a bunch of Radical Islamophobists and their families and neighbors and he'll make sure we all hear all about it - including photos of body parts. His followers will adore him for it!
