Can't (First Amendment plus NY Times vs. Sullivan), and won't; it would be pointless. Her "damages" would be the loss of the presidency, which is a remedy the courts can't give. As to plagiarism: Unless Michelle can prove she suffered harm because of it, there's no reason to sue. And Michelle wasn't harmed at all; her reputation was improved, if anything, while Melanoma's was damaged.

Anybody can sue anybody for anything but they won't necessarily win. And they might get stuck with attorneys' fees and other sanctions for lawsuits brought in bad faith. Melanoma might be looking at something like that...

She let Kellyanne Goebbels Conway slither away, saying that lies should be sued. Then asked what we were talking about 8 years ago. Rachel had the perfect chance to say, "trump was saying Obama was Muslim, and from Kenya. Can you put that Humpty Dumpty again?"
