1. Trump is not a nuanced guy

When he says arms race, he means arms race.

Maybe it's directed at China. Maybe it's something else entirely. Think like a 12-year-old an maybe someone can come up with an answer.

In the meantime, consider how China, Iran, India, Pakistan, and Israel will interpret, "Let it be an arms race."

2. Its Trumps and Putins plot

How best to transfer the most money into the hands of the billionaires than an arms race? It will work for both Trump and Putin to gather more money into their hands and the hands of their friends. They both get to look tough, they both get to threaten the world and all the military industrial corporations and the oil patch become involved and rake it in. A planned out transfer of wealth and we are not allowed to know how Trump will gain financially because he doesn't have to show his finances. How many hot stock tips will he get? All his friends and family will enrich themselves behind the closed doors of Trump Tower. Remember he can have no conflicts! (according to trump)
