Holiday Offensive???

"A Christmas Story" is one of my holiday must watch movies and TBS usually shows the movie on a loop for 24 hrs from Christmas Eve to Christmas Day. That was the actual TBS transition between the movies that I watched tonight. I backed up the DVR because I was so surprised at what I saw. Someone at TBS needs to catch some flack over this!!!!

Before I believed what I saw....yeah, I've been drinking in the festivities tonight, but I saw that and thought Wow! I had to back up the DVR and record it before I actually believed what I saw

What was coming from his fingers? Coins? Was that the sea? Then the whipped substance on his face, and then his gorging on some food.

Could these cryptic spots be teasers for some new show?

I've seen the one with the dreidel too.

They always have some kind of goofy thing between shows.

Maybe the idea is that the guy snorts all the powdered chanukah sugar and then 10 minutes later he's doing the dreidel dance. Wizzzzzzzzzzz! Zing! Zing! Zing!

Usually I'm all for edgy humor, film references, and even material of questionable television suitability, but I'm not sure they accomplished what they wanted here, which was probably to make a cute 5 second acknowledgement of Chanukah in the midst of all the Xmas fun.

I was probably too far into holiday festivities to give it the in depth analysis but in the light of morning, I think you're right. That's probably what they were going for.
