New York state, amid investigation, bars Donald Trump from shutting down Trump Foundation

Trump appeared to be attempting to shutter the foundation before its years of scandalous activities could be used against him. But as it turns out, Trump is legally barred from shutting it down because it’s currently under investigation.

The official word came from New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, whose office has informed the Boston Globe and Washington Post that it will not allow Trump to simply slam the door shut: “The Trump Foundation is still under investigation by this office and cannot legally dissolve until that investigation is complete.”

The investigation by the state of New York, where the Trump Foundation operates out of, is based on a myriad of suspicious and illegal activities. The charity has done virtually no charitable work since 2009, even as Donald Trump illegally used its remaining funds to purchase personal items such as a painting of himself.

Not like the political stooge we have in Florida.

12. Looks like Rick Scott is even doubting her abilities.

He has assigned a prosecutor to investigate the $25,000 bribe from Donald Trump. Now, wouldn't it be delicious if the New York investigation of Donald Trump's foundation ties in with the Bondi Florida investigattion?

Florida prosecutor will investigate complaint against Attorney General Pam Bondi

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Gov. Rick Scott has assigned a complaint filed against Attorney General Pam Bondi to a prosecutor in Southwest Florida.

The complaint stems from scrutiny this year over a $25,000 campaign contribution Bondi received from President-elect Donald Trump in 2013. Bondi asked for the donation around the same time her office was being asked about a New York investigation of alleged fraud at Trump University.

A Massachusetts attorney filed numerous complaints against Bondi, including one that asked State Attorney Mark Ober to investigate Trump's donation.

Ober asked Scott in September to appoint a different prosecutor because Bondi used to work for him.

5. Go Schneiderman! May he be a model to officials and bureaucrats

throughout the nation for the next four years. We do still have laws, even though Trump doesn't believe it.

6. Bravo!

Good to hear that laws are actually being enforced in my very blue state.

In the meantime Scneiderman should stay out of small planes and get a remote starter for his car.

7. I would not be surprised the foundation is the beginning of Trumps end.

Old crimes have a way of coming back to bite you when there is motivation. All done before he was installed in office by a foreign adversary.

Just like with Trump University.

Once he sees that he is caught, he agrees to pay money to get out of the bind.

They eventually got Al Capone and John Gotti.

15. The saddest part of the article

It would be difficult and unlikely for federal law enforcement and regulatory agencies to investigate Donald Trump’s various past and present shady and illegal financial dealings after he takes office, as the heads of those agencies will answers directly to him.

Guess Presidents really are above the law and the ghost of Milhouse past lives.
