The RNC "clarifies" it's Christmas messaage...

After creating a stir on social media with its Christmas message, Republican National Committee spokesman Sean Spicer said Sunday that its reference to "a new King" was not a reference to President-elect Donald Trump.

"Christ is the King," tweeted Spicer, who will be Trump's press secretary. "He was born today so we could be saved. Its (sic) sad & disappointing you are politicizing such a holy day."

Spicer's tweet — and related remarks on CNN — followed several hours of angry back and forth on Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms over whether the RNC's holiday message was suggesting the president-elect was a figure comparable to Jesus Christ.

quit whining, losers, to paraphrase something they say over and over again.

They don't want to be held to account for what they say? Why did they refer to "this year" and a "new king." They knew what they were doing.

suck for everyone, even him since he'll finally have to get down to business and govern instead of just speaking in front of his followers. He'll also be subject to harsher scrutiny both domestically and internationally, and we all know how easily he gets butthurt.

The GOP's holiday message has the Magi arriving to see baby Jesus the night he was born. WRONG. TOTALLY WRONG. FAKE NEWS.

If the republicans read the Bible they claim to follow, they would know it took the Magi 12 more days and nights to arrive.

Hello Republicans? Ever hear of Epiphany?

Obviously not.

Fake Biblical news (R) is not OK.

as historic fact. Yo, there are Americans who don't believe that Jesus was a "new king" anyway. Guess you don't want their vote.

When the press secretary feels he has to scold those who questioned and challenged a poorly worded statement, then they are not properly communicating. The problem is with those issuing the statement, not those who are receiving the message.

Language is a tool. But messages get garbled when tools are wielded by tools.
