But the only short updates we've received the last few days has been the same - she's in stable condition. No word on her condition improving or if she's even awake.

hard times for the family. that is a tough thing to get through.
hope they have the best of care and support.

i am a hospice volunteer. i know what they are going through, and hope they have such people around them. i'm not wishing. but good hospice will help them through the awful choice they might be facing.
we arent just there at the end. we support people's decision making through these tough moments. i hope they have that support.

6. It sounds to me (I'm a retired hospital administrator)

as though she's probably on life support and various tests are being done to determine the damage.

She wasn't rushed in to surgery for bypass procedures or given stents or we would have heard about it.

Doesn't sound good to me.

Everyone on DU had Jimmy Carter dead and buried when he got his cancer diagnosis. Sheesh.
