For the last 4 years I was searching for a job at age 57. To say it was awful was close. The people here were wonderful. This past October I began a job, part time, but a job with benefits, that has been a lifesaver. I am intellectually stimulated, get paid a decent wage and am appreciated.
Thanks for all the support I got from many of you during the process. Remember there is always hope, even for an old dog.

I think it's pretty obvious that the people who hired you saw past your age, and liked what they did see. You brought something to that job that they wanted!
I'm thrilled for you. Age discrimination is so rampant so it's wonderful to hear of a person who didn't suffer because of it.
And you are NOT an old dog! Not even old. You have many good years left!
