We'll see. You know, I'm so old I remember when threats to our national security used to be kind of a big deal. Even when dubious policies were introduced, if they could make some tenuous connection to national security, they'd get a "wait-and-see" pass (e.g., torture, bombing civilian targets, wholesale harvesting of cell phone records and calls).

Here we have the president elect saying that Russian incursions into our elections and our government are no big thing, and a media wholly incurious about that la-de-dah attitude. Mind-boggling how scared they seem to be of incurring Trump's disfavor. Trump spent more time fussing about Alec Baldwin than he has about Russian interference with the country.
