We live on an old, small farm with 2 dogs and 2 cats in the house, variable number of chickens out in the yard.

Hi folks,

I just wanted to let you know that my mom lost her battle to bile duct cancer recently. I know she posted here for many, many years under the name hedgehog and even adopted a cat through her conversations here. One of the ways she and I bonded was through our progressive politics- she learned a lot from the articles she read here, and I wanted to thank you all for being a source of news and lively debate for her.
