What are we going to do about the fact our president elect is in cahoots with Vladimir Putin?

I know the Deplorables are enamored with Putin and Trump but I can't believe a majority of my fellow Americans are. To believe that is to give up all hope.

He went from out of a job to president to amassing a forty billion dollar fortune by killing his political opponents, cracking down on dissent, and scapegoating glbtq people.

live it down. As long as we are stuck with "play doh for brains", we must damage the Republican brand every day he is in office. Exact a price for their support of hate.

He is the first president to openly show contempt for pluralism, democratic norms, due process, and the rule of law. I know hate is wrong but I hate the people who saddled our nation with this man.

but getting out there and joining organizations fighting him is one good place to start.

Stop whining on the internet and throw every extra penny you got at Planned Parenthood, ACLU, FCNL, EFF... They don't read DU, but they do know how to get White house attention and win lawsuits.

I don't care how rightwing your congresscritter is, get together and form a critical mass to get his attention. and maybe throw him out. If he or she is OK, let them know you got their backs.

Even the worst congressional asshole can count, or has staff that can-- and if his mail is going one way, he just might adapt.

The bottom line is he got rich by taking tributes from companies that want to do business in Russia, persecutes his glbtq citizens, bullies his much smaller neighbors, threatens and kills his political opponents if necessary, and works to undermine liberal democracies.

He is a horrible role model for our president. Tony Soprano would be a better one. At least Tony largely left "civilians" alone.

I think my assessment is fair.
