24. Eliminated Catch-22 in Pay Equality Laws: Signed Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act in 2009, giving women who are paid less than men for the same work the right to sue their employers after they find out about the discrimination, even if that discrimination happened years ago. Under previous law, as interpreted by the Supreme Court in Ledbetter v. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., the statute of limitations on such suits ran out 180 days after the alleged discrimination occurred, even if the victims never knew about it.

I don't consider letting these programs die is a 'good thing'....

We need to be able to go the moon and back easily to be able to then to go to Mars and beyond.

NASA needs to regain it's dominance in space travel.

There were 135 shuttle missions and there were 2 complete mission failures. I was
present for the 'o-ring' failure in Florida. It was unusually cold that day.

So, do you scrap a program because of these failures? Obviously they did.

But, what about fixing what is broken? What about modernizing the shuttle? What about
American ingenuity?

I prefer that the USA produces the new technologies to send men and women into space - Mars and beyond... But, it doesn't mean that Mr. Musk can't kick ass with his and his company's contributions...

Asking/begging Russia to send Americans up into space is unacceptable...

"Then you don’t remember a world without robots. There was a time when humanity faced the universe alone and without a friend. Now he has creatures to help him; stronger creatures than himself, more faithful, more useful, and absolutely devoted to him. Mankind is no longer alone. Have you ever thought of it that way?"

I would put the Paris Climate Accord very high on a list -- up there with ACA. It could end up being the point where the world really started to work to prevent catastrophe.

Loved the guy - perhaps the best in my lifetime.

BUT, you can't have everything you want.

15. Created Race to the Top

Sorry, this was the wrong way to go about improving schools, but the largest fault of his "education program" was his appointed leader, Sec. Arne Duncan.

And by the way, Der Drumpf has started off even worse!!!!!!

had a really bad flood and Bush tried to not give us any assistance but ended up giving us only half of what we needed and only gve money to Walmart, K-mart, Sears, and a couple of big businesses. He had done a motorcade down our freeway and saw all of the people now with no homes and would not help them...ASSHOLE. The day after Obama came into office he gave the remaining amount of money needed by the people to get on their feet. I knew some people who were forced to live with people who could not afford to have others live with them and it was sad. The only reason we got help for the businesses is because Gregoire got into Bushes face. It sucks living in a county that is not rated important. But Obama rescued us as much as he could. I was happy for that and he is a good man.
