Kushner: Trump didn't believe conspiracy theories

Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, personally assured skittish acquaintances the President-elect didn't really believe some of the more outrageous claims he was making, according to a new New York magazine profile.

"Back when Trump was spinning birther conspiracy theories, which were lapped up by gullible Republicans, one person who talked to Kushner says he offered assurances that his father-in-law didn't really believe that stuff," the report says.

"People say (Trump) is unhinged," Kushner told an associate, per the report. "I think he unhinged everyone else."

That's the thing about conspiracy theory. You have to be crazy to promote it, and slightly crazier to believe what you're promoting. The fun part is, there's no way to tell the difference.

If Trump is crazy he might not stay President and where would that leave Kushner. Better to have people hating Trump than to expose him as the bat shit crazy whack job he is. Of course, Kushner is just putting off the inevitable but that should buy him some time to become indispensable to Pence. I'd be willing to bet as soon as he has accomplished that he'll throw Trump under the bus and have him declared incompetent so the kids can take over the business and not have to worry about what dear old daddy wants.

did not believe that Pres. Obama was born in Kenya. He was just slimming to damage the president's reputation with our under-educated and frightened citizens. So, I feel comfortable with anyone slimming Donald, as long as they personally do not believe it. Like for example the rumor that I just read tonight that he is married to Euro-thrash who posed nude and is an ex-prostitute. The people who said that may very well not believe it -- and it's OK.

is filled with the ignorant clamoring for racist attacks to wallow in and latch onto as a rallying cry.

Kushner is either calling Trump supporters a pack of fools and that his father-in-law was playing a role to gain their vote, or Kushner is a lying sack of shit.

Gee, Jared, which is it?

Obvious contempt for Trump voters or are you a lying?

I'll go out on a limb and say you actually do have contempt for those who voted for your father-in-law and that you are also a liar.

Just as I suspected. But still he is racist of that I'm certain. So when the Jewish Kushner defends neo-nazi Daddy in law I have a problem with it. Conspiracy theories have gotten Jews murdered since time began. The fact that he thinks it's okay is so sickening I don't even have words.

You know, the evidence that his investigators found on Hawaii. As he said in a 2009 interview.

I guess, he'll release that evidence the same day as he reveals his hacking evidence that only he knows and US intelligence doesn't.

Kushy talks like the joke is on everyone else. Uh-uh. He should replay the victory tour tapes when Trump basically told his supporters they should calm down now that he won and their response was a fresh round of Lock Her Up chants. He released the hounds; good luck getting them happily back in their cages.

i.e., most bad crap people do isn't because they meant to be evil, they're usually just stupid or inept.
in any event, usually it's very hard to determine that they actually meant to do rotten things.

so, thanks, jared, for clarifying that toxic trump actually is evil.
