Wind chill 65 below zero. Gusts up to 66 mph. Mt Washington, NH.

(6,409 posts)They have truly aweful weather there. I think they still.hold the wind speed record at 212 mph.

(11,862 posts)No bad weather, but on the way up there was a plaque of those who died on the very climb I was making...all because of unexpected weather fronts.
I got to the (almost summit) only to find stairs leading to the actual summit...I had to lift each leg up on each stair...I had exhausted every muscle in my body!

It's been way too hot this "Winter" up til now.

(16,856 posts)This past weekend was cold, at least by our standards, but it was the first cold weather we've had all winter. By the end of the week it will be back up in the 70s.

Nope, didn't happen. May as well have been in Australia this time of year. Sheesh!
