KellyAnn Conway reacts to Streep!

“I’m concerned that somebody with a platform like Meryl Streep is also, I think, inciting people’s worst instincts,” Conway said. “When she won’t get up there and say, ‘I didn’t like it, but let’s try to support him and see where we can find some common ground with him.’ Which he has actually done from moment one. The moment he won, he said I’m going to be president for [all people].”

http://people.com/politics/kellyanne-conway-says-meryl-streeps-trump-speech-left-her-concerned/

I love her suggestion that Trump has tried to mend fences since "the moment he won"! I guess she didn't read his tweet about his "enemies". Also, it is a bit much to hear Conway complain about someone "inciting people's worst instincts", considering her bosses campaign rhetoric...

Mon Jan 9, 2017, 11:03 AM
Jan 2017
Gaslighting is a form of psychological abuse used by narcissists in order to instill in their victim’s an extreme sense of anxiety and confusion to the point where they no longer trust their own memory, perception or judgment. The techniques used in “Gaslighting” by the narcissist are similar to those used in brainwashing, interrogation, and torture that have been used in psychological warfare by intelligence operative, law enforcement and other forces for decades.

The intention is to, in a systematic way, target the victim’s mental equilibrium, self confidence, and self esteem so that they are no longer able to function in an independent way. Gaslighting involves the abuser to frequently and systematically withhold factual information from the victim, and replacing it with false information. Because of it’s subtly, this cunning Machiavellian behaviour is a deeply insidious set of manipulations that is difficult for anybody to work out, and with time it finally undermines the mental stability of the victim. That is why it is such a dangerous form of abuse.

But this line...

"I'm concerned that somebody with a platform like Meryl Streep is also, I think, inciting people's worst instincts."

... sums up the hypocrisy of Trump supporters. Because in their disillusionment they fail to see Trump doing this each and every day. You could tell them the sky is blue and they'd say it's orange and argue with you over it, even though it's indisputable. This drives me insane more than anything, is the vehement denial of something plain and clear as day. They don't see the blatant hypocrisy and stupidity of saying something like that while defending the most offensive person the White House has ever seen. And you know that if ANY Democratic candidate was being as unpresidential as Trump is being, they'd be calling for impeachment and they'd be outraged. It was her flawed candidate who spent months denigrating anyone and everyone using his megaphone on the stump to try to tell us who to hate next. Now she wants to rewrite history to explain how his real mission is to represent ALL of us and that we just need to all come together to sing Kumbaya??

She can forget about that. Her guy set the terms for his mission from Day One of his candidacy. Some of us have long memories and for those who don't we have lots of video tape to remind us of who Donald Trump really is. We also have years of his behavior and business practices to examine. And if he'd release his tax returns, we'd know even more. So there is that....

Face it, Kellyanne, there is NOTHING you can say or tweet that is going to change the facts. You are forever tied to the Narcissist-in-chief that you....yes YOU....helped inflict on this country. You are as bad as he is and for some of us, he is pretty low. You could have done the right thing and tried to prevent this megalomaniac being inflicted upon us. But you didn't, so don't think you can make it all right again. Too little, too late.
